Grosse Pointe Norths Varsity Softball Team went 3-2 in the Michigan Stars tournament this weekend. A high point from the Tournament was North defeating Garden City 5-4, on a tremendous heads up running play by Junior Evelyn Zacharias,scoring the winning run with two out in the bottom of the 7th.
Highlights from the weekend, Rebecca Alway going 7-11 on the weekend, with a home run and was the winning pitcher in two of the three victories, and Sophmore Sydney Brumme pitching the team to the third win. Zacharias had 7 hits, Freshman Dylan Cardinale had a home run, Senior Mackenzie Obermock went 3 for 3 in one game and Senior Ashley Kowalski went 1 for 2 with an rbi.
